Community service is one of the main tasks of any institution in our dear country. Universities are considered as one of the largest and most important institutions that play this vital role as one of the most important tasks besides teaching, learning and scientific research.  Also, Universities are the main incubators for researchers and experts in various fields who can apply this scientific methodology in order to investigate the reasons, find out the best solutions, and provide the recommendations for future to avoid the issues in the community.   

In the belief of the importance of community service and in line with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, the AL BAHA University was keen to establish the Social Responsibility Department by a decision of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Yahya Al Hussein on June 3/6/1440 which oversees both the Community Partnership Unit and the Volunteer Unit Leading in community service.

The tasks entrusted to the administration of social responsibility are to spread the culture of social responsibility and volunteering within the university through activities and activities within the university, as well as coordination between the university and the society to develop this community partnership for the university to play its active role in serving society. This department is responsible for communicating with all groups of society and its various institutions through its representatives in different faculties and departments. It is also entrusted with following up the annual plans and visions of the faculties, departments and research centers within the university to provide initiatives to achieve social responsibility. It is also developing ways to expand community participation to provide opportunities for those interested in research and studies to establish a partnership with the university to find the best ways to expand the culture of institutional work supporting the service of the community in addition to benefit from the exchange of experiences with distinguished universities locally and internationally in the field of community service. It also encourages exchange programs for students and faculty members between the university and civil society institutions, thus establishing a database of community service programs for easy reference and extracting necessary reports when needed.
