PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Master of the Messengers. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the portal of Al-Baha University, which was established in 1437 AH (2006 AD) as a Saudi academic institution affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Like the other Saudi universities, Al-Baha University has enjoyed the care and support of our wise leadership under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness, the Crown Prince, H. R. H Prince Muhammad bin Salman - may Allah protect them - in addition to the care and follow-up that the university received from H. R. H. Prince Dr. Hossam bin Saud, Governor of Al Baha Province, H. E. the Minister of Education, and H. E. the Deputy for Universities, Research and Innovation, which brought about a distinct shift in its research, scientific, academic, and societal journey on the map of universities in our dear country. The university seeks excellence and creativity in the field of university education, scientific research and community service. It is committed to providing opportunities for higher education, creating the appropriate place and climate for the development of students’ abilities and crystallizing their personalities, and providing distinguished education and scientific research that contribute to building a knowledge society through a stimulating academic environment and optimal investment of resources. The university has charted a continuous development path for itself, governed by a number of values, namely safety, responsibility, transparency, quality, appreciation of achievement, and teamwork. The university has taken strong and deliberate steps to advance academic and administrative work, with the aim of improving its operations and practices in the interest of students scientifically, educationally and academically, which led to the university obtaining institutional accreditation, as well as signing contracts with the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) for progarm accreditation for several academic programs. I call upon all university employees to do their utmost to raise it and reach the ranks of the leading universities. May Allah guide us to all that is good, righteous and uplifting for our society and our generous country, and may Him preserve our country, our security, our stability, and our rulers.
