The purpose of this study was to analyz The John Dewey’s concept of education and criticize its the pragmatism foundations from Islamic perspective. The research followed descriptive method in analyzing literature and related previous studies. The research findings lay in a number of areas. First, Dewey’s belief of education in general and understanding of education in specific were influenced by his reference framework of thinking known as pragmatic philosophy. This philosophical thinking was affected by Darwin's theory and his own principles concerning universe, life, knowledge, values and human nature, experimental method of the natural sciences, or by utilitarianism. Second, perspectives and pragmatic ideas of Dewey contradict with Islamic perspective of human nature and growth, with God’s distinction of human beings from all other creatures, with resources of knowledge and acquisition throughout the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, as well as other well-matched resources. Third, Dewey believed that education is a socio-biological process of adaptation between human and surrounding environment and education has no purpose beyond this process. It is growing for the sake of growth. This concept differs from the Islamic conception that views human growth and development as one of the God’s laws in universe, honored above the rest of other creatures and is a product of interaction between genetic and environment factors not limited to a biological adaptation process. The objective is not just growth itself but purity of worshiping Allah and Obedience. Keywords: Education, John Dewey, Educational thought, Islamic perspective, Islamic Educational Thought.

Reasons for Choosing the Research, The spread of Sufism and its suspicions in a way that requires the specialists to discuss these suspicions and discuss the statements of their followers in a scientific and objective way, and it dragged my attention the large number of books which are written by the Sufis about the issue of the legitimacy of the Mentioning (Dhikr) of the name of Allah (as a single word), such as "Alkasd Almogarrad Fi Marefat Alesm Almofrad", for Ibn Alataa Alsakandery, and "Aladab Almofrad Fi Alrad Ala Man Ankar Dhikr Allah Be-Alesm Almofrad" for Ali al- Kharfan … etc. The Research Contents: It includes an introduction, main chapters, discussions and a conclusion. Finally, the Conclusion: Where I’ve mentioned some of the results I’ve reached, and the most important of it are Many Sufis and Behaviorals went with the legitimacy of the mentioning (Dhikr) of the name of Allah (as a single word), whether it is obviously or impliedly, even some of them said that it is the best mentioning (Dhikr), where they exclusively said that, just like they exclusively have done a lot of other religious heresies, I find that many of the sheikhs of Sufism made the obviously mentioning of "Allah Allah" (as a single word) as a sign of special persons Dhikr, and the impliedly mentioning of "Hu Hu" as a sign of the very special persons Dhikr, and The obvious or implied mentioning (Dhikr) of the name of Allah (as a single word) is not originally legitimate and isn't useful in the Arabic language, nor indicates to praise and isn’t related to faith, and isn't from the rituals of Islam.
