The Faculty of Science and Arts in Baljurashi is a branch of the University of Al-Baha, which annually celebrates a number of graduates specialized in various disciplines that meet the needs of the job market. It is one of the scientific and research beacons of Al-Baha University, which is committed to the advancement of its employees scientifically and academically as it seeks to develop and serve the community, as well as to help in the management of the progress that is witnessed by our blessed country.

About: Introduction

Al-Baha University aims at preparing a generation of students qualified in various fields of theoretical and practical fields. The Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Sciences and arts in Baljurashi was  established in 1431 H. responding to the demands of the local job market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
Al-Baha University plays a significant role in serving society by fulfilling the academic and knowledge needs of local communities. The program of the Department of Arabic Language rewards a bachelor's degree after fulfilling all academic requirements and aims at guiding graduates to potential career opportunities in fields such as journalism, media, education and other fields of relevance.   
The updated study plan of the department requires accomplishing 138 credit hours  over a period of four academic years (eight semesters).  
 

About: Message

The message of the Department of Arabic Language is both educational and research-based. The educational message is to maintain the language of the Holy Quran and develop students' speaking and writing skills. 
The research-based aim is to engage with the current linguistic, literary, and critical concerns in coordination with the rapidly growing academic disciplines.  

About: Objectives

1.    To prepare students to be qualified in Arabic language. 
2.    To contribute to knowledge and academic research in coordination with the requirements of the future vision of national plans in the country.
3.    The graduates should be educated in a manner that enables them to engage with different schools of Arabic literature and diverse past and current trends and movements in literary criticism.
4.    To establish valuable links between the linguistic heritage and the contemporary linguistic thoughts and achieve a balanced position between originality and conventionality.
