Electrical Machines 2

The course includes the synchronous machines: Construction and performance of salient and non – salient type synchronous generators. Principle of operation and performance of synchronous motor. Construction, principle of operation and performance of induction machines. Starting and sped control of three-phase induction motors. Construction, principle of operation and performance of single-phase induction motors and special machines.

Electrical Machines (1)

The first type of machines to be studies is the static one (the transformer) including single-phase transformers: theory, types, construction, the ideal transformer, theory of operation of real single-phase transformer, transformer tests, transformer equivalent circuit, transformer voltage regulation and efficiency.
